Park
Welcomes Its "New Ambassadors"
 |
As
part of developing this new program, the Board of Directors
went through a very thoughtful and thorough selection process.
This process identified a number of candidates who the Board
felt should be considered. After careful deliberation the Board
invited eight (8) individuals to be involved in the program.
To our very pleasant surprise, ALL eight (8) accepted our invitation.
On November 27, 2009 at the Board of Directors annual christmas
social, Board Chair Don Ross, formally welcomed the Park's new
Ambassadors. Each individual was presented with a small Ambassadorial
crystal thanking them for agreeing to be involved. The main
purposes of this program are: to continue recognizing and acknowledging
individuals and organizations who |
|
advocate
and support the Park in the past, present and future; to involve
individuals who are recognized as strong community leaders
who can be valuable resources to the Park and to enhance the
credibility of the organization in the broader Calgary community.
The photo to the left includes all our new Ambassadors. We
are grateful for their commitment.

On Aug 31,2011 over 126 players gathered at McKenzie Meadows Golf Club to enjoy a day of fellowship and fun while raising over $62,000.00 for the Park. We want to thank all the players, sponsors and volunteers for their continued support of this event. Please join us in 2012, to make this an event an even bigger success.
