Building Our (and Your) Future

Calgary Rotary Challenger Park is proud to announce that it is exploring a new partnering opportunity project.

We are in the preliminary stages of investigating the feasibility of constructing a new 3-story, 100,000 square foot office and programming centre, immediately adjacent to the Park. More details to come shortly.

For more information on this exciting new opportunity, contact Jim Zackowski at 403-250-2707 or

Park Welcomes "Honourary Patron"

The Board, Staff and Friends of the Park , would like to extend a warm welcome to His Honour, Colonel (Ret'd) the Honourable Donald S. Ethell, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta for accepting our invitation to become Honourary Patron of Calgay Rotary Challenger Park.

It was our pleasure to have His Honour, Colonel (Ret'd) the Honourable Donald S. Ethell, and Her Honour Linda Ethell at our Board of Directors Christmas Social on Nov 26, 2010 at the Glencoe Club along with our Ambassadors.

Park Welcomes Its "New Ambassadors"

As part of developing this new program, the Board of Directors went through a very thoughtful and thorough selection process. This process identified a number of candidates who the Board felt should be considered. After careful deliberation the Board invited eight (8) individuals to be involved in the program. To our very pleasant surprise, ALL eight (8) accepted our invitation. On November 27, 2009 at the Board of Directors annual christmas social, Board Chair Don Ross, formally welcomed the Park's new Ambassadors. Each individual was presented with a small Ambassadorial crystal thanking them for agreeing to be involved. The main purposes of this program are: to continue recognizing and acknowledging individuals and organizations who

advocate and support the Park in the past, present and future; to involve individuals who are recognized as strong community leaders who can be valuable resources to the Park and to enhance the credibility of the organization in the broader Calgary community. The photo to the left includes all our new Ambassadors. We are grateful for their commitment.
